  This is the salon of the year for me! The staff are so lovely and I enjoyed getting my hair all nice and pretty. The finishing results were just a wow and the experience was great!! Definitely going back. Highly recommend!!!

  I absolutely love this salon. Kristy has done my hair 3 times; I walked in with red hair and in 3 months she’s been able to get my hair to a white blond with grey, with minimal damage to my hair thanks to olaplex. My hair is exactly how I want it and feels great. On a different note, I take my new born in with me to each appointment and all the staff are so helpful if I can’t get to him quick enough. They’ve fed, burped and changed his nappy. I honestly cannot recommend this salon enough.

  I’m kind of disappointed and have mixed feelings. The salon is nicely designed and parking is awesome. Staff are pleasant. The option for complete privacy during your session behind a curtained off section is the best thing. However my end results didn’t justify the $$ and I ended up having to correct the tone myself at home. Would recommend for style cuts, blow dries, treatments etc., but not for colour.

  I had a consultation with Chelsea for an updo for my formal later in the year, the service was amazing and she was super helpful and let me try out multiple styles in the session :)

  I had a terrible experience at this place! Canberra hair and beauty did not listen to my request when I asked to be put with a specific hairdresser and instead sat me with a less experienced hairdresser. When I walked in no one greeted me and the vibe was cold and rude. When I realised I was not put with the hair dresser I had asked for I felt very uncomfortable. I had not had my hair cut in a while as I was saving and I finally had the $230 cash to get it done! I was so excited to get my hair done by the hairdresser that had cut a friend of mines hair and instead I was sitting there feeling like this was going to be a disaster. I really didn't want to feel that way for 3 hours while i sat there getting my hair done, I wanted to relax. Before we started I was able to work up the courage to say to someone as politely as i could that this was not working for me and that I wanted to leave which I did. A few hours after I had left I had multiple missed calls from the salon and when I called back I got the lady who booked my appointment. She was very defensive on the phone trying to justify the mistake she had made and make out like it was my fault! Then she ended the phone call saying that I had upset her staff and that I wasn't going to be a good fit for them and basically never come back! I was shocked that a senior member of the salon would behave that way. I did not mean to upset anyone and I was very apologetic about leaving but at the end of the day I was put in a very uncomfortable position due to their error and I didn't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money to get something that I didn't want. lesson of the storey, own your mistakes !

  The staff at Canberra Hair and Beauty are the best you will find anywhere in this city. They take that extra time to explain things clearly and listen to what you say because they care. Their advice is absolutely awesome and my hair has never looked and felt so good since I started attending this salon. The service is superb and the atmosphere is very relaxing, and attention to you is their priority. Love being able to have other beauty services done there also. Well done Fiona & Rosie choosing the best of the best. And a massive thank you to Christie. See you again in a few weeks. Love my hair, love CHB
